The AAMI Stradbroke Raceday went ahead on Saturday at the Eagle Farm Racecourse, forming the next feature in the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival and saw fantastic battles on the track.

Culminating the great eight race card, the Group 2 Queensland Guineas (1600m) saw a full field line up for the race, which Rothesay absolutely blitzed as he took out his fourth win from seven starts.

Three and a quarter lengths behind Rothesay was the Peter Snowden-trained Launay who took the runner up position, while Fifteen Carrat was a further head back in third place.

Other Eagle Farm Races which took place on Saturday were the $1 million Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1400m), the Group 1 Queensland Derby (2400m), the Group 1 T.J. Smith (1600m) and the Group 2 Brisbane Cup (2400m).
